Nicole serves as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate at Vale Counseling. She has a Bachelor of Science in Christian Counseling from Liberty University, and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary.

Due to her own experience of stress and trauma recovery, Nicole can connect with her clients authentically, give language and understanding to their experience and help them recover and heal as well.  She gives hope that life can be different, casting a vision for you that may be difficult to see or even imagine.  Your pain can be dealt with in a healthy way and your symptoms reduced significantly.  Nicole will walk with you gently and compassionately through this time.  She will help bear your burdens when they overwhelm you or are too heavy on their own. 

Nicole brings experience in the world of corporate training and thus her interventions are creative, engaging, evidenced-based, and effective.  She is an active counselor and encourages participation both in and out of session.  Nicole is empathetic, compassionate, and trustworthy. 

Nicole has experience working with a variety of diverse populations and cultures.  She believes the counseling process is a collaborative partnership between the therapist and client based on trust and mutual respect.  You can enjoy a space of freedom, with no rejection or criticism where you are given choice.  Nicole’s approach to psychotherapy considers the whole person, including the psychological, emotional, social, biological, and spiritual dimensions.  YOU are welcome here. 

Nicole has experience and knowledge of many counseling therapies and modalities, including but not limited to Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), the gold standard for PTSD and trauma recovery, Trauma-focused therapy, Expressive Arts, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness and Cognitive Behavior Therapy.  She has an Adlerian theoretical orientation influenced by Polyvagal Theory and Attachment Theory.

Nicole is married to her sweet husband and loves to spend time in nature with him as they are from Montana and love the outdoors.  She also enjoys reading, writing, and board games.
