Anne brings 24 years of experience working in various roles in education. Her experiences as a classroom teacher, program manager, and senior director of new teacher programs afford her a unique counseling style and ensure her ability to connect with people from diverse populations and backgrounds. Anne has extensive experience with adolescent and adult learning theory. She uses various treatment modalities such as, but not limited to, Trauma-focused therapy, Expressive Arts, CBT, Attachment Theory, and EMDR.

As a devoted and empathetic counselor, Anne specializes in assisting clients who encounter difficulties in handling the constant demands of both personal and professional responsibilities. She empowers her clients to overcome negative limiting beliefs and grow self-leadership skills. She also excels in assisting adolescents and adults through various life-stage transitions, including the transitions associated with attending college, marriage, becoming a new parent, navigating divorce, experiencing the empty nest phase, and transitioning into retirement.

Anne believes in a humanistic and action-based approach to counseling to increase the client’s personal awareness, freedom, and self-direction. She considers the whole person when creating a treatment plan by incorporating emotional, psychological, physical, social, and spiritual (if applicable) aspects of well-being. She works collaboratively with clients to understand how their past shapes their present, aids in developing coping strategies, builds self-confidence, and enhances interpersonal skills, enabling them to face life's challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

Creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment is at the core of Anne’s practice. She strives to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients, fostering an atmosphere where they can openly express their thoughts, beliefs, and feelings without fear of criticism or rejection.

Anne is married, has four adult children, loves spending time outdoors, and is an avid scuba diver.
